My name is Jennifer “JJ” Roy and I have been a pet lover since the day I was born.
I am certified with the National Dog Groomers Association of America and I am registered with the New England Pet Grooming Professionals,Inc. Most recently I have joined the Creative Groomers Association to learn and pursue my passion as a creative groomer. What is that you ask? Creative grooming is anything from coloring your pets hair to painting the nails, using jewels for some “bling”, feather extensions and unique hair styles. Not everyone is on board with the creative portion of grooming and that is okay. I offer everything from the full groom which includes the nails, ears, bath, condition, blow dry & hair cut to the bath and brush out. Proper skin and coat health is the foundation for a great groom. Which is why I choose the finest products to bath each individual pet.
I have been grooming since 1996, beginning as an apprentice in a small shop in Nashua. I have since moved up to the Concord are and have begun my own business. I am in a unique location, renting space in a well established salon you may know of, A Furry Affair. And since that owner is also named Jennifer, I have been officially dubbed J.J. I regularly attend grooming seminars to continuously improve my knowledge and techniques to better serve my clients.
I stand by my Code of Ethics as a certified member of the NDGAA which states, "I, as a professional Dog Groomer in the pet industry, promise to accept my responsibility when caring for all pets. I shall enhance their beauty through proper grooming skill to help in the creation and style best suited the individual pet and its owner, to continuously educate myself and my patrons in the proper care and welfare of their pets. I will not discriminate against any person – to set an example of good will and integrity, show affectionate understanding and gentleness to all and always perform my duties in a humane manner.
